Single Audits are required by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments and Non-Profit Organizations, for non-federal entities that expend $500,000 or more in federal awards in a fiscal year. The Single Audit looks at the internal controls, both operational and financial, of major federal programs and for compliance with the terms of the programs. Some federal grants are subject to program-specific audits as required by laws, regulations, or grant agreements and their audit reports are issued separately.
The Single Audit Report for FY 16-17 was issued with an unmodified “clean” opinion and contained no findings. It includes a Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards, explanatory notes and the independent auditor’s report.
